Overview: M03 Eco Sustainability & Responsible Visitor Message

This station develops the third eco-tour-guide skill: explaining why a natural site needs protection, giving clear responsible-visitor guidance, and connecting visitor behavior with conservation outcomes. The station keeps the same reliable learning/speaking workflow as E1–E2 while changing the performance target.

  1. Concept readiness: complete a simple 10-item, 4-choice MC check about sustainability and responsible visitor communication (10 points).
  2. Sustainability Learning: explore five eco-destination conservation cards and complete 5 easy MC items (5 points). No destination is locked here.
  3. Responsible Message Studio: learn Basic, Intermediate, and Field Performance responsible-visitor scripts and the six guide moves, then complete 5 easy MC items (5 points).
  4. Guided Read-Aloud: freely choose any prepared eco destination and Basic / Intermediate / Field Performance level for supported practice with chunk highlighting (20 points).
  5. Commentary Practice: choose one destination you feel most confident discussing. The system automatically uses that destination's standardized Field Performance sustainability message, shown without highlighting, and locks the destination when the first attempt starts (40 points).
  6. Tourist Q&A: answer practical visitor questions about rules, reasons, impacts, and responsible choices for the same locked destination (20 points).
  7. Dashboard Reflection: reflect on the sustainability message and the next improvement target. Required but unscored.

Sustainability Learning

Explore firstNo destination lock here

Explore five eco destinations through a sustainability lens: what needs protection, what visitors should do, why the rules matter, and how responsible behavior improves the visit. You do not lock a destination here. Guided Read-Aloud lets you practice any destination and level; Commentary Practice later asks you to choose one destination for the standardized Field Performance task.

Quick Sustainability Learning Check · 5 points

Five easy questions confirm that you understand the parts of a responsible-visitor support card. Each correct answer = 1 point.

Responsible Message Studio · Learn the Three Levels

Learn firstNo script selection here

This page shows how a responsible-visitor message develops from Basic to Intermediate to Field Performance. You do not choose a destination or script level here. Guided Read-Aloud is where you choose what you want to practice.

Quick Responsible Message Check · 5 points

Five easy questions check the three script levels and the responsible-visitor guide moves. Each correct answer = 1 point.

Guided Read-Aloud Attempts 0/5

Listen to the model sustainability message with chunk highlighting, then read it aloud while the active chunk moves automatically.

How to practice: listen once with model highlighting, then press Start Speaking with Highlight and read each highlighted chunk aloud. The score is a training indicator from transcript coverage, pacing, and task completion; it is not an acoustic pronunciation score.

Standardized transfer task

All learners use the Field Performance level. Destination choice remains flexible so each learner can demonstrate performance with a site they understand and feel confident discussing. Once the first attempt starts, the destination is locked so all Commentary attempts remain directly comparable; the best verified attempt counts.

What the system checks

Word amount, sustainability vocabulary, clear visitor rules, reasons/impacts, positive visitor role, and a polite closing. This is rule-based formative feedback, not a replacement for teacher/human research scoring.

Tourist Q&A Attempts 0/3

Answer as a friendly tour guide for the same eco destination used in Commentary Practice. Explain the rule or recommendation, give a reason, and show how responsible behavior helps protect the site.

Complete Commentary destination selection, then click “New Question”.
